Coronavirus, Lanzarote and Travel Insurance
Due to the outbreak of coronavirus, Spanish authorities have introduced measures to limit the spread of COVID-19 in Spain, including in the Canary Islands. At present, there confirmed cases of Coronavirus in the Canary Islands and additional measures are in place to try and prevent the virus' spread. What is Coronavirus, Also Known as COVID-19?
The coronavirus was first identified in Wuhan City, China at the end of 2019. It affects the respiratory system and symptoms include coughing, sneezing, fever and breathing difficulties. Ways To Protect Yourself from Coronavirus
Although there is currently no known cure for coronavirus, there are several simple steps that you can take to help protect yourself;
- Frequently and thoroughly wash your hands with hot, soapy water, for at least 20 seconds.
- If you go out in public, particularly on public transport, sanitise your hands with an alcohol-based cleanser.
- Cough and sneeze into a tissue and dispose of the used tissue immediately.
- Avoid direct contact with anyone that you know who is or has recently been unwell with symptoms of COVID-19.
- If you feel unwell and display symptoms of coronavirus, seek immediate medical care.
- Stay up-to-date on the development of COVID-19 via official governmental websites.
