Travelling with pre-existing medical conditions?
A pre-existing medical condition is defined as an illness, injury or condition that exists before, or at the time, you take out an insurance policy. If any of your family members have any pre-existing conditions, this will need to be declared at the time of purchasing your policy. It's important that you declare this to ensure you are fully covered. Failing to declare your conditions will make your policy invalid. Is it better to get single or annual multi-trip insurance?
This depends on how often you travel and what you want to get out of your insurance. If you are looking to just cover the one trip, then you might find a single-trip policy useful. However, if you are planning multiple trips in a year, then an annual policy can keep you protected across 12 months.
Can I buy travel insurance for my child only?
Yes, as long as the child parent or legal guardian is the one purchasing the policy- the minimum age for a children's policy is 1 year.
Can a child travel with just one parent internationally?
Yes, a child is usually fine to travel internationally with just one parent. However, it's good to bear in mind that if there are two parents who share responsibility for the child, then consent of all individuals may be required.
