What are my parking options?
Our hotels at East Midlands airport can be packaged with 3 different types of parking:
- East Midlands airport hotels with parking within walking distance
- East Midlands airport hotels with parking at the hotel
- East Midlands airport hotels with on-site parking
- East Midlands airport hotels with Meet and Greet parking
1. Hotels at East Midlands airport with parking within walking distance
This kind of parking package does exactly what it says on the tin. Stay and park within walking distance of the terminal so, on the morning of your flight, you simply wake up and roll out - no car to move, no transfers to catch.
Our current package that allows for this ultra convenient start (and finish) is the Leonardo, the only on-site hotel at East Midlands airport, paired with parking at the hotel. The package is beautifully simple; drive to your hotel, park in a free space and check-in for the night. Your car will stay tucked away in the hotel's car park for the duration of your trip. As an added bonus you get to keep hold of your keys, so you can be sure it won't move an inch. From the hotel you can walk to the terminal in just 2-5 minutes. Alternatively the hotel can book you a taxi to the airport for a fiver.
2. East Midlands airport hotels with parking at the hotel
With this kind of package you leave your car in the hotel's car park for the whole time you're away, saving you from the stress and faff of moving it on the morning of your flight. Switch over to holiday mode from the moment you arrive!
Since your car will be staying put at the hotel during your holiday, you'll need to catch a transfer to and from the airport. Transfers will be in the form of a shuttle bus or taxi, depending on what hotel you choose. All of our hotels near East Midlands airport are between 2-15 minutes from the terminal so there's no need to worry about long, tiresome transfers.
3. East Midlands airport hotels with on-airport parking
If you're a money-savvy traveller, out to bag the cheapest East Midlands airport hotel and parking package, a great place to start your search is with our hotels with on-airport parking. These packages boast bargain prices all year round, even during the pricer peak seasons.
The day before your flight, drive to your hotel and park. Parking overnight is free at most of our hotels, except at the Holiday Inn Express where parking costs £5. The following day you'll need to drive from the hotel to the Mid Stay 3 car park. All of our hotels at East Midlands airport are nearby, just a 5-15 minute drive away, so there's no need to drag yourself out of bed in the early hours of the morning.
Once you've parked all that's left to do is walk to the terminal - it’s about 7 minutes away. When you're back from your travels all you'll need to do is stroll back to the car park. It couldn't be easier!
4. East Midlands airport hotels with Official Meet and Greet parking
Official Meet and Greet parking is the go-to option for a stress-free airport experience. No need to deal with transfers or find a parking spot yourself. Here’s how it works: stay the night at your hotel, then drive to the airport’s Official Meet and Greet car park in the morning. Drop off your car, walk a quick 2 minutes to check-in, and you’re done. Your car will be safely parked and waiting for you when you return.

It was a second time we stayed at this hotel and left the car for a week and it was great. The rooms are spacious and have everything you need there. The car park seems secure, we’ve had no problems. The only thing I would suggest is adding a luggage scales somewhere in reception just for a last check before you set off for the airport.

Log inMystery Hotels
Unlock special offers with our Mystery Hotels! The hotel's identity stays hidden until you've booked, but you'll still get key info like how far it is from the airport and its star rating. We only offer 3-star and 4-star hotels, so you can rest easy knowing quality is guaranteed. It’s an easy way to find cheap East Midlands airport hotels with a bit of adventure thrown into your booking.
Super saver deals
Look out for our non-flexible deals. Our non-flex deals are exactly what they sound like - they can't be cancelled or changed, but it's because of this, we can offer exclusive, cheap rates. Once you've made a search any non-flex deals will be clearly marked Flextras:Saver. This kind of package is perfect for travellers who are confident their plans are set in stone.
Choose a hotel where kids stay free
With more beds to fill and mouths to feed, travelling with the whole family can often be expensive so it's good to know the hotels that can help you get more bang for your buck. Hotels such as Holiday Inn Express, Holiday Inn, Travelodge and Radisson Blu allow kids to stay (and usually eat for free).
Book early
You've probably heard this one before, however it's so important it had to make our list. The earlier you book the more likely you are to nab an awesomely cheap deal. What's more, there's a greater chance of there being more packages available, meaning you can cherry-pick the one that best suits you.
For example; a nights stay at the Holiday Inn Express when booked a week before can cost £114.99*, however when you book further in advance the price could drop to £42.00*, saving you a whopping £72.99!
If you can, travel off-peak
If you can make a break for it between the months of November to March, you're on to a money-saving deal - both on your holiday and your airport hotel and parking. If that's not possible for you, you're bound by school holidays for example, our top tip would be to try and get away around late May (half term) which will still be cheaper than the sizzling summer peak months or late August and early September where prices will be beginning to fall.
