What to wear to the Cheltenham Festival

The Cheltenham Racecourse doesn't have a strict dress code but please be aware that this event takes place during the winter months so you should dress accordingly. The trend is for men to wear suits when in enclosures, restaurants and entertainment areas. Ladies will often wear hats although this is generally a concession to the weather rather than fashion. Fancy dress is acceptable so long as it is not offensive, be aware however that the club reserves the right to turn away anyone dressed inappropriately.
