One of the most important decisions you'll make when choosing your parking lot will be the type of parking you want. Below we'll give you an idea of the sorts of parking you are likely to find at these USA Airports.

On-airport Parking

One of the most convenient forms of airport parking, on-airport parking covers any parking lots that are, you guessed it, on the airport grounds. These lots are typically very close to the terminals, so you can walk to departures, or have access to a speedy transfer service that will get you there in just a few minutes. You may find that these parking lots are a little higher priced due to their proximity to the airport, but you can still get some excellent deals.

Off-Airport Parking

Normally a bit more budget-friendly, off-airport parking lots are slightly further out from the airport terminals, normally requiring a transfer service to get you from the parking lot to the airport. These secured USA airport parking lots tend to offer very good value for money so if you don't mind a longer transfer from the lot to the airport, they can be a great way of saving some pennies.

Meet and Greet Parking

Meet and Greet parking represents the easiest and most luxurious of all the airport parking options. Drive to the agreed meeting area for your Meet and Greet provider, then simply hand them your car keys and they'll park your car in a secured parking lot while you head directly to departures. When you return from your trip a driver will bring your car back to you and you can hop in and head home, it's as easy as that.

Electric cars ⚡

Electric vehicles and their charging points are becoming more increasingly common within airport parking lots across the USA with West Coast airports leading the charge on this. Keep an eye on our specific airport parking pages for information on which parking lots have access to EV charging stations.

Holiday Extras recommended USA Airport Parking

It can be a bit daunting facing all the parking options that are available at your airport, so to help you narrow it down we'll highlight some of our favourites on each individual USA airport page.

These 'Holiday Extras Recommends' are parking lots that we think offer a particularly good service whether it be for ultra-convenience close to the airport or excellent value for money in a park and ride lot a little further out.

USA Airport Parking - Frequently Asked Questions

How much is park and fly per day?

Park and fly parking will vary in price depending on the airport you are flying from, the service you are booking and potentially the time of year you are flying as peak seasons can be more expensive.

Can I leave my car at the airport?

You certainly can, airports have a variety of on-airport parking options where you can leave your car parked in a secured parking lot while you enjoy your trip. You can choose from on-airport parking with short transfer times, off-airport parking that is a slightly longer transfer but often cheaper or, the height of convenience, Meet and Greet parking where you'll be met at the airport and your car will be parked for you.

Is there free parking at Cleveland Airport?

You can park for free at the Cell Phone Lot at Cleveland Airport, however this is only for picking up customers and doesn't allow for long-term parking. The Cell Phone Lot is intended for stays of up to 30 minutes, so if you're looking for airport parking while you're away this parking lot isn't suitable, but there are plenty of parking solutions that will accomodate this for a fee.

Is it cheaper to book airport parking in advance?

Generally speaking, yes it is, you will normally save on your parking costs if you book in advance rather than paying on-the-day gate prices. The other advantage to booking in advance is getting the parking lot you want without risking it being fully booked.
