Travel Insurance for Over 90s
It can sometimes be difficult finding suitable travel insurance for those in the over 90s age bracket. More often than not travel insurance premiums can be higher due to the heighened possibility of more complicated medical conditions. In the worst-case scenario, some travel insurance might even not provide any cover at all.
We strive to make our travel insurance policies as inclusive as possible for all ages. This is why our single trip policies do not have no upper age limits*, meaning that no matter your age, you can still find suitable travel insurance for your trip. We also cover the majority of pre-existing medical conditions.
How do I book travel insurance for over 90s?
Booking travel insurance with Holiday Extras is designed to be as simple and stress-free as possible. Make a booking online by completing our brief, discreet medical screening process for a policy tailored to your needs. Alternatively, you can always phone in to our friendly UK-based call centre. Please remember to declare any medical conditions you may have or have had in the past, as this way we can make sure that we're providing you with the most suitable policy for your needs.
Tips for travelling as a senior
Book a flight with no stop-overs if possible - It's highly recommended to book a long-haul flight with no stop-overs, as this will greatly minimise the potential for stress, and the chance of a missed connection which will add more time to the overall journey.
Have medication in hand luggage - You should never place any important medication in the checked-in luggage, as this means it won't be readily accessible during the flight. It's advised to take such medication in a small piece of hand luggage, stowed close to the place to where you'll be sitting. It's also a good idea to bring along a list of medications and dosages, in case you should need to visit the doctors' during the trip.
