Close to the airport, close to perfect
A short drive from Gatwick's terminals, this friendly, family-run lodge has a genuinely-welcoming feel. The staff couldn't do more to make you feel welcome, with lots of charming, personal touches, from the hotel's own shuttlebus pickup at the airport to the home-cooked breakfasts. With just 22 rooms, the fantastic Acorn Lodge Gatwick is a popular hotel at Gatwick airport that fills up quickly, so make sure you book early.
Antique decorations, old-fashioned personal service
A nice hotel clean with good rooms. Close to Horley town centre if you want to stretch your legs. I had a problem getting back to Gatwick but a quick E-MAIL and the problem was sorted.

The hotel has recently expanded, adding another nine spacious, comfortable rooms and an outside patio with a barbecue for sitting out in the summertime. There’s a cosy bar and excellent restaurant serving cooked-to-order breakfasts and Mediterranean-influenced dinners, with Turkish dishes a particular speciality. The theme carries through the Acorn Lodge’s décor, with marble-tiled bathrooms, attractive paintings and samovars dotted around the lobby. There’s a 24-hour pick-up service from the airport – just call and a driver will come to collect you in a dedicated minibus. The terminals are just five minutes away.
All the little things, included in the price
All rooms have an en suite bath or shower room and television. Wifi access is free for all guests and available in the public areas and most rooms. There are twin, double and family rooms (with children’s bunk beds) available. Best of all, you can combine your stay with secured parking at the nearby Cambridge Hotel. Acorn Lodge is a great place to get your holiday off to a relaxed start.
We recommend the Acorn Lodge for:
Comfort - all rooms are clean and comfortable with springy beds and large, double-glazed windows for sunshine in the day and peace at night.
Convenience - the Acorn Lodge is just five minutes from Gatwick’s terminals and there’s a dedicated shuttlebus that's easier and cheaper than queuing for a regular bus or booking a taxi.
Parking - an all-inclusive parking deal means you don’t have to worry about driving to the airport or using public transport. Note that customer parking is at the nearby Cambridge hotel (see Parking tab for further details).
Small, friendly and comfortable family-run hotel. Kids under 16 eat for half price. Dedicated shuttle bus to check-in.
Getting to the airport
The Acorn Lodge is a 5-minute drive from the airport in good traffic.
A taxi to the airport takes around 5 minutes and costs £15-20.
Driving instructions and a postcode for satnavs will be on your booking confirmation if you need them.
Check in from 2pm. Check out by 11am.

The hotel offers free, overnight parking on-site if you need it.

Unfortunately the hotel does not yet have any accessible rooms, so we recommend checking one of our other hotels if you require easier accessibility.
Restaurant
6pm to 10.15pm every day
The restaurant offers a menu of freshly-cooked British and European classics, such as fish and chips, burgers, pasta and salads.
Main meals average about £14 from the a la carte menu. There are also 3-course set menus, with a choice of 4 starters and 4 mains. There's a kids menu too, with 2 courses for £5.95. The choices include spaghetti bolognese, egg and chips and chicken burgers, plus dessert.
Bar
4pm to midnight every day
The bar serves a range of soft drinks, beer, wines, spirits and snacks.
Breakfast
Continental – 6am to 9am. Cooked – 7am to 9am
The restaurant serves a plated cooked breakfast and continental buffet.
Continental buffet costs £4.25pp when you book in advance with us and the cooked breakfast costs £7.25pp in advance with us.
Good to know
Request a room on the ground floor if you've got lots of luggage, as there isn't a lift.
