Take the stress out of your journey

The hotel is easy to find by car – from the M23, take the J10 exit and at the roundabout, the A2011 to Crawley. At the next roundabout take the third exit, carrying on the A2011; at the third roundabout take the fourth exit to Gatwick on the A23; at the next roundabout take the third exit onto Fleming Way and the Gatwick Premier Inn Manor Royal is just on your right.

If you’re travelling by rail, the taxi from Gatwick Airport, which is 2.5 miles away from the hotel, takes around 12 minutes. It cost us £15 to the Gatwick Park Royal using the taxi rank outside the South Terminal, and £10 back to the airport, using the hotel’s preferred minicab company, booked at reception. For those going to the airport by bus, the G23 shuttle service comes every 30 minutes and picks up guests just outside the hotel. It runs from 3.16 am – midnight and costs £3.20 for an adult single, £2.20 for a child’s single, to both North and South Terminals.

The G23 to the hotel from the South Terminal leaves from the bus and coach station – follow the signs from the terminal building; at the North Terminal the shuttle bus leaves from the arrival concourse – again, follow the signs from the terminal building.

The Gatwick Royal Manor is sited on a new commercial estate. Virgin’s HQ is just next door, and many of its crewmembers stay at the hotel while taking courses with the airline. The hotel is close enough to the nearby town of Crawley if you need to do any shopping, the journey taking about 10 minutes by car.
