Experience a modern and convenient 4-star hotel only 10 to 15 minutes away from both terminals (you'll know it by the big red bear statue out front). Enjoy tasty food in the restaurant and bar, or break a sweat in the well-equipped gym. Before you start your journey, unwind in front of the TV with a cosy bed and blackout curtains for a restful night's sleep. The breakfast buffet has you covered in the morning, making sure you wake up on the right side of the bed.

Getting to the airport

The hotel has a shuttle bus that takes 10 to 15 minutes, runs every 45 minutes from 4am to midnight and costs £5 each way.

Outside of these times, taxis cost around £19 each way.

Whether you're having lunch or dinner, there's plenty to set your tastebuds off – enjoy classics like fish and chips, burgers and steak. We'd recommend the lemon cheesecake for dessert (although we're still regretting not ordering the cookie dough cake).

Bar

RED Kitchen & Bar – 11am to 11pm

What could be better than a well-stocked 360 degree bar to get you in the holiday mood? With all the drinks you could want, cocktails, spirits, wine, beer, cider and soft drinks, you can celebrate the start of your holiday early. They serve Starbucks too, so you can grab a coffee in the morning to perk you up.

Breakfast

RED Kitchen & Bar – 6.30am to 10am weekdays, 6.30 to 10.30am weekends

Kickstart your day with a full English buffet and continental breakfast filled with the classics for £16 per person – expect bacon, sausage, egg, pastries, cereal and fruit, plus help yourself to juices, tea and coffee. Who could forget the main event? The pancake press, loaded with toppings to give you all the energy you need for your trip – you'll be ready for anything, even the airport.

Things to do

Break a sweat in the gym with all you'd need for most workouts like dumbbells, bikes and even a cable machine. Water and towels are free to use, and there's a smart TV.

Early flight? They've got you covered with the Grab and Go area. Grab what you need from the selection of snacks, sandwiches and drinks before you head to the airport.

You can also rent an umbrella for up to 48 hours – just in case!
