The hotel we stayed at was lovely and clean. All the staff we interacted with were pleasant and polite. The bedroom was very spacious with comfy beds for us all. We didn’t have any issues at finding a parking space in the car park but surely the cost should be reimbursed if you stay at the hotel.

Very smooth process from booking right through to flying. Lovey hotel and secure parking. Have already booked are stay and park through Holiday Extras for next year.

We booked the Gatwick Travelodge and expected to leave the car at the hotel. Instead it wasn’t till after we had booked that we realised that we had to drive the car to the Purple car park, which was on the exact opposite side of the airport, instead of just catching the hop-on bus. the PP pickup was slow and it must have taken 30 mins on the bus to get back to the car park.j I will not be using this hotel/parking again.

Everything was fine, except the room very strongly of damp. There didn’t appear to be any visible, however it was a strong odour. I believe this next point was out of their hands, so this isn’t a complaint. We booked the hotel to avoid waking up and leaving our home at 1am for our flight, but the fire alarm went off at about midnight so we were stood outside in the cold for almost an hour - meaning that our stay was pointless as we were up/awake!

We arrived from Rhodes on 27th September at 12.30am, after waiting 20mins for a bus to take us to the hotel we finally got there tired and worn out, so you can imagine how we felt when we were told we couldnt book in until 3PM that day, the whole point was we would stay overnight as we were both worn out, then have breakfast the next morning and travel home, the staff at the hotel were no help what so ever, there we were stood there tired with all our luggage, they didn't even offer to help us find somewhere else, so we left, by this time it was pouring with rain, we tried a couple of other hotels to be told there was nothing, then finally The Holiday Inn were more than helpful, they were sympathetic, although they didn't have rooms free they phoned round to see if there were any free in other hotels, they had a room at Holiday Express, we were so grateful, the receptionist phoned to book us a taxi to get there, the taxi cost us £8.50, bearing in mind we paid £12 for a return journey back to the airport to pick up a Purple Bus to get us back to Purple Parking, which we no longer needed, the hotel cost £129.99, then the next morning we had breakfast, then took another taxi to Purple Parking, another £8, we had no problem what so ever with Purple Parking, in fact we will definitely use them again, but as for Travelodge, NEVER AGAIN, I dont want to live that nightmare again, because that is what it was a NIGHTMARE!!!!

My plan was not to collect my car upon my return until I checked out of the hotel. As the advert said busses included I’d believed the bus from the airport to the hotel to be included as advertised. This is not the case and reading the small print it was not as I’d been led to believe.

Staff friendly, we travelled in middle of night so they where cheery as can be. Was sat on the bus too long though at purple parking... Bus driver trying to cram on as many people as possible.

Service in restaurant awful. Lost our order. Not clear until booking made that parking is at opposite corner of airport to hotel and terminal. Also extra 8 pounds to park overnight at hotel.

There was dog (well I think it was from a dog!) poo under the bed!!! The cost of our stay was refunded by the hotel. We were told that the rooms were sometimes used by guests with pets but they were deep cleaned after such a stay. Evidently not in this case. Not the best way to start a holiday!

We arrived late on the Thursday eve to be told we had to drive to the parking area. Upon arriving there we then had to get a shuttle bus to the terminal and then another bus back to the hotel (which cost £3). In the mornings, before our flight, we also had to pay another £3 each to get the bus to the terminal building. This was unexpected as we had been told that all transfers were included with the package we had purchased. The actual hotel was fine and comfortable to stay in however we were not told about all the extra hassle. When we booked "hotel and parking" we assumed that the parking would be in close proximity to the hotel and we didn't know we would have to get numerous buses backwards and forwards at about midnight in order to sort this out. The hotel also tried to charge us an extra £8 to park my car there. I would NOT book again with holidays extra as it was such a stress and not a smooth process like we had originally anticipated. Also, don't advertise that all transfers are included when you have to pay to get to the terminal. 2 very unhappy customers.

Simple, clean and comfortable room. Lots of machines for coffee in the lobby, all empty as they weren't replenished before staff left. Our flight was at 7am so it would have been good to have some caffiene. Would definitely use again.

Travelodge had no record of our booking and i had to pay again to get a room for the night. This has been refunded, i also booked purple parking and everything was fine with them. I feel this is a travelodge problem not holiday extras, as i always book through them and never had a problem. But have booked Travelodge a few times and always a problem with them.

Having booked the holiday inn for an overnight we were looking forward to an evening meal before an early start. To our disappointment there was only a buffet restaurant with an appalling array of glutinous skin covered sauce dishes, soggy pizza and various unidentifiable concoctions. It transpired that the menus in the rooms were for show only as they do not provide any of the food advertised. However I can highly recommend the Ye Olde Six bells, excellent steak good atmosphere and reasonable price. Reception staff at the hotel were polite and helpful though rooms could do with a little more furniture. It looked as if the sofa had been stolen. Regrettable in good conscience I cannot recommend this hotel to those who ask.

I Booked the wrong day for the overnight stay and purple park and only realised when i arrived to check in at travelodge at around 7:30pm. The lady on the phone managed to bring forward both the overnight stay and the parking with no warning at 8pm with no charge. Very good service, i would of been stuck otherwise.

room at Travelodge was not as clean as other hotels in the group we have used. Had not been vacuumed. Staff we encountered were very helpful and cheerful.We took the room because we were arriving at 1.00am and did not want to travel back home late. However the traffic was so bad on the M25 next morning we decided that it is better to travel through the night to get home in future.

Our car was not waiting for us at Purple Parking on return - they misread our return date on the paperwork supplied by yourselves. On arrival at Travelodge, the car park was full to overflowing and we were obliged to park on a grass verge.

Rooms very tired looking and more like staying in a hostel block. Bathroom had mildew around bath and no plug for the bath. Service in bar area very very slow and clearly not enough staff. All in all a forgetable experience.
