Although the Premier Inn, London Gatwick Airport, A23 Hotel is one of the lower-priced Gatwick airport hotels, it has a high-quality feel and efficient, friendly staff. The hotel is immediately welcoming, with a helpful reception desk and a convivial restaurant and bar area which serves food and drinks throughout the day (and night!).
The Premier Inn Gatwick A23 Airport Way, formerly the Premier Inn Gatwick Central, is an excellent choice for those travelling to Gatwick airport by car. It's just a four-minute drive from junction 9 of the M23, which makes it extremely easy to reach from the motorway, and is also within easy reach of Gatwick airport' Long Stay car park. Book your vehicle into the Gatwick airport Long Stay, just a few minutes drive away, and you can drop it off as soon as you arrive, leaving you to relax and start enjoying your holiday.
The hotel and parking overnight was easy with no problem. Comfortable stay and good food at the restaurant on the evening. The meet and greet was easy and efficient both on arrival and return.

To get to the terminal, the regular G2 bus service picks up from immediately outside the hotel's main entrance and takes just 10 minutes to reach the South terminal, and a further five minutes to reach the North terminal.
The Premier Inn Gatwick A23 Airport Way has a pleasant modern restaurant with a wide ranging menu of British pub-style dishes for both lunch and dinner, as well as a comfortable lounge area. There's also wifi (chargeable) in all areas, including the rooms. For any forgotten holiday must-haves, there's also a Shell garage next door with all the essentials which is open 24 hours a day.

Getting to the airport
The hotel is around an 8-minute drive from Purple Parking. You can catch a shuttle bus from the car park to airport – they run every 20 minutes to both terminals, take 15 minutes and are included in the price.

Parking
Overnight parking at the hotel costs £25.
On the day of your flight drive to Purple Parking, where parking is included while you're away. Park in one of the arrivals bays and hand over your keys at reception – your car will be parked in a secured location while you take the shuttle bus to the terminal.
The car park is secured by CCTV and regular patrols.

Good to know
There are two Premier Inns very close together at Gatwick. The Premier Inn A23 Airport Way is the one just back from London Road and usually the second one you'll come to, so make sure you have the right one.
For any essentials, there's a 24-hour petrol station next to the hotel.

If your vehicle is one they won't accept you'll be charged an additional £25 per day when you arrive. Purple Parking Park and Ride cannot accept:
- Commercial vehicles or minibuses of any variant.
- Single or double cab pickup trucks such as Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux or Nissan Navara.
- Medium-panelled or windowed vans such as a VW Transporter, VW Caravelle, VW Caddy, Ford Transit, Mercedes Vito, Mercedes Viano or short wheel-based vehicles of any description.
- Large panelled or windowed vans such as a Mercedes Sprinter, VW Crafter, Renault Master, Ford Transit or long wheel-based vehicles of any description.
- Any variant of camper van.
- Any vehicles over 2.1m high.
- You'll be charged an additional £25 per day if your vehicle fails to comply with the above.
The parking team will move your car to a self-park area and charge an additional £20 per day in any of the following cases:
- Not providing a key to your vehicle.
- Not deactivating ghost alarms (or not providing clear instructions to the team at check-in).
- Not removing steering wheel locks.
If you have an electric car, make sure it has enough battery charge to be moved through the car parks and last the duration of the stay otherwise the car park may charge you a fee. The car park does not offer electric charging.
We recommend that you leave 45 minutes to drop your car and keys off and get the shuttle to the airport.
