Step into the relaxed lobby where there's plenty to keep you busy – whether it's breaking a sweat at the gym or beating your mates at table football. Take a moment to admire the cool artwork and quirky top hat lights while you stroll through the hotel to your comfy room, with its giant TV and blackout blinds for a restful night's sleep. Oh, and there's a Fiat 500 in the breakfast area (we aren't joking, check the photos).

Getting to the airport

The hotel has a shuttle bus that takes around 10 minutes, runs from about 4am to 11.30pm and costs £5 each way.

Outside of these times, there's a bus stop opposite or it's a 6-minute drive if you get a taxi – it costs around £16 each way.

Parking

Overnight parking at the hotel costs £25, if you need it.

The hotel has six Pod Point EV chargers so you and your car can recharge at the same time.

Wanderlust Bar & Kitchen – 24 hours a day

The sleek bar is well stacked with all the booze you could need – spirits, wine, beer, cider and a wide range of soft and hot drinks. Head down for happy hour on select drinks from 5pm to 7pm.

Breakfast

Wanderlust Bar & Kitchen – Continental 4am to 6am weekdays, 5am to 7am weekends. Full English 6am to 11am weekdays, 7am to 11am weekends.

You won't struggle to find the breakfast area, as there's a Fiat 500 slap bang in the middle of it. Tuck into a buffet-style full English and continental breakfast with all the classics like bacon, sausage, hash browns and pastries – you'll be spoilt for choice. There are plenty of drink options like herbal tea, coffee, and juices, plus plant milks and vegan or veggie delights are available too.

Things to do

Work out in the 24-hour gym with Technogym equipment like dumbbells, bikes, a rowing machine, treadmill and cross trainer. They've also got water and towels so you don't need to remember to bring one. Or, break a sweat in a classic bout of table football in the lobby. If you fancy chilling out, kick back with a travel guide in the breakfast area.

Sustainability

Opt out of single-use items by making the most of refillable toiletries, and choose to reuse your towels or ‘skip the clean' to gain points. Sensored LED bulbs light the way and the windows are designed for energy efficiency. You'll find recycling and waste bins on every floor. Plus, there are plant-based options on the menu and anything that doesn't get eaten is composted. If you have an electric car there's EVC on-site too.
