Personal Possessions

Should possessions become lost, stolen, or damaged during your trip, this cover provides repair or replacement costs. There are certain caps for individual items and valuables. If you want to claim, it’s important to report any theft or loss to the police and get a report within 24 hours. The cover does not extend to items that are left unattended or damaged through wear and tear or cleaning processes.

Personal Money

Ensure your personal money is secure while travelling; this policy covers you for theft or loss of cash and cards. Different cash limits apply depending on age, and claims require a police report within 24 hours. Losses must be reported promptly, and money should be carried securely.

Passports and Other Documents

Rest easy knowing your policy includes protection for lost or stolen passports, travel documents, and event tickets. You'll be reimbursed for the costs of replacements abroad, along with any extra travel or accommodation expenses. Keep in mind, secure your documents well, as claims won't be covered if they weren't adequately safeguarded or could be replaced at no cost.

For cruise policies, a higher cover limit is available for personal belongings to cover higher-value items such as evening wear.

What is covered:

• Claims arising from heavy traffic or road closures without evidence of significant disruption.
• Failure to allow sufficient time for public transport to arrive on schedule.
• Breakdown of a private motor vehicle that was not properly serviced.
• Failure of any travel service, due to errors or defaults by the travel service providers.
• Claims arising from a catastrophe.

For cruise policies, additional cover is provided as standard for missed port departures and missed connections due to delayed arrival at embarkation points.

Your policy's personal liability covers you for any harm to others or their property on your trip. This includes legal costs for defence and settlement discussions. But, it doesn't cover risks from dangerous activities, property you're looking after, harm to family or household members, incidents involving certain vehicles or animals, or anything business-related.

The legal costs and expenses section helps with the expenses of legal action for incidents that cause death or physical harm. It covers the fees for a representative to manage your case, court costs and chasing up judgments or appeals. But it doesn't cover gradual sickness, mental harm without a physical accident, defending legal rights (apart from counterclaims) or claims for medical negligence.

Gadget cover

This policy covers accidental damage, theft, loss, and malicious damage to gadgets. In the event of a gadget being damaged or stolen, it will be repaired or replaced. Coverage includes a range of gadgets such as mobile phones, tablets, laptops, cameras, and smartwatches.

Limitations include:

• Damage or loss must be reported within 24 hours to the police and network provider if applicable.
• Gadgets must be kept safe, not in checked baggage or out of immediate reach.
• Manufacturer security features must be enabled.
• Claims require proof of purchase and usage.
• Cosmetic damage, consumables like batteries, and pre-existing faults are not covered.
