My journey so far
I started at a intern at Holiday Extras in 2007 right after highschool and Holiday Extras became my passion! I worked as an working student part time in the Contact Center and after I finished university with focus on HR and Controlling I just stayed because I loved it! Holiday Extras gave me the once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to leave my footprints in helping to grow the business and be part of something great and growing.
Since 2012 when I finished my studies I centralized all people related tasks, which have been with the Managers until then. In 2013/14 I was leading the recruiting of approximately 30 people and helping to increase the team from about 50 people when I started to close to 100 employees.
In the last years the focus was on bringing the German business closer to the UK level in automation of administrational tasks, business values, recruiting strategies, team surveys and many many things more.
Life outside Holiday Extras
"The best things in life are the people we love, the places we've been and all the memories we've made along the way" - that describes perfectly what is important to me. I love to travel and explore new places but after a while I always look forward to come back home to see my family and friends and share my impressions with them. Having a strong base gives you the self confidence and power to try new things because you know there are people who will always keep you from falling. I love trying new things - new tastes, new activities and things that are just new for me like fixing a water faucet on my own- sometimes I manage it and sometimes I fail- but I always learn something new!
My newest passion is to explore Munich with my Vespa "Emma" and discover new places in the city.
Favourite places
Wow - that is hard to tell! As long as there is sea, sand and sun I am happy :)
My inspiration
I find sources of inspiration everywhere: in a good book, in a walk in the rain or in good conversations! Most important to be inspired is to let your mind go its way and not trying to give a direction - then the ideas will bubble out.
