Pancreatic cancer travel insurance
At Holiday extras, we are dedicated to making your holiday as stress-free as possible by providing comprehensive travel insurance, including travel insurance for cancer. We offer cover for you and everyone in your party for travel in the UK and abroad. We cover the majority of pre-existing medical conditions, and all medical conditions will be considered. This includes ALL forms of cancer.
Do i need to declare my pancreatic cancer?
It's essential you declare your pancreatic cancer when booking your travel insurance policy. Failure to do so could render your policy void, and affect any claims you may need to make.
How do I declare my condition?
To declare pancreatic cancer as a pre-existing medical condition, you'll need to complete our brief and confidential online screening process, which entails a number of questions in connection with your condition. Please be assured that all information you give is handled with the utmost care, in accordance with the European General Data Protection Regulation.
When screening for pancreatic cancer, you may be asked such questions as:
- When was your last treatment for the condition?
- Has the cancer spread at all?
- Is there any further treatment planned?
It's important to answer all questions as accurately as possible, so we can provide you with a policy that is appropriately suited to your needs.

Travelling with Pancreatic cancer
Plan ahead
It's important to think about the logistics of your holiday and how your condition will affect it ahead of time. This includes getting a check up from your doctor or cancer specialist, who will be able to give you advice tailored to your own specific needs.
Pack enough medication for your whole trip
Depending on where you're travelling too, it may be difficult (and in some cases, impossible) to secure medication, should you lose some, or need extra. It's advised to carry enough for your entire trip plus a little extra, should you misplace any.
Carry all medication in your hand luggage, and in its original packaging
Not only will this ensure your medication is close to hand, it may also help speed you through customs. Keeping your medication in its original packaging may also help in securing extra medication in a foreign country where english may not be the spoken language.
Keep medical information to hand
Get your doctor to write a full summary of your diagnosis and medical instructions as well as a treatment plan, in the event that a hospital does not have access to your medical records.
