Within the city

A budget-friendly way to get around Benidorm is by bus. You can pay for every bus line with a Bonobus 20, a card you can top up with as much money as you need and present to the driver on each trip. Tariffs for single tickets range from €1.20-€1.65 which will get you around Benidorm and the towns nearby. There are also plenty of taxis to take you around – the minimum fare is €vvv4 during the day and €5.05 at night.

Further afield

You can use your Bonobus card to get to destinations a little further from the resort, such as the mountain town of Guadalest and the tumbling waterfalls Fonts de L’Algar. This will cost from €2.65-€3.75. Trams also run frequently between the area’s charming coastal towns. You can get a return to places like Dénia and Alicante for €5.65 – perfect if you’re looking for a day trip to the seaside.

Excursions

Tourist buses operate in Benidorm, open-top double decker buses let you hop on and off at each attraction or site of interest. A 24-hour ticket costs €9.50, a 72-hour ticket costs €19.50 and you can buy a week-long tourist bus ticket for €29.50. A taxi to Aqualandia water park is roughly €6-€7, €10-€11. There are numerous companies giving you the chance to visit Tabarca Island, off the Costa Blanca. Prices vary, but a €40 for adults and about €10 less for kids.
