About Long Stay Car Park 1 at Birmingham Airport

Car Park 1 (formerly Long Stay 1) is operated by Birmingham Airport and positioned on airport grounds. Its official, on-site location often means higher daily rates than off-airport options like Airparks and Maple Parking.

Late return fees at BHX Car Park 1 (previously Long Stay 1)

Early or late? Here are the car park's late return fees*:

  • Up to 1 hour: £10.50
  • Up to 2 hours: £21.00
  • Up to 3 hours: £31.50
  • Up to 4 hours: £42.00
  • Up to 24 hours: £64.00
  • Over 1 day (per day)*: £64.00

Accessibility

There are Blue Badge bays on the ground floor, which are signposted. They work on a first come, first served basis. You'll need to display your Blue Badge while you're away, or if you need to take it with you then fill in a form at the customer service desk before you leave for your flight. If the office isn't open you can call for assistance.

Security

The car park is secured by:

  • CCTV
  • Fencing
  • Regular staff patrols
  • Entry and exit barriers
  • Park Mark awarded

Most standard cars (without trailers/not commercial vehicles) will be accepted at the car park as long as they fit under the 2.15m barrier and fit in a standard-size parking bay (2.4m x 4.8m).

Getting to and from airport

Arriving at Car Park 1 (previously Long Stay 1)

There is car recognistion at the barrier, which will check your number plate and lift automatically. You can park in any space and keep your keys while you're away. Then walk to the terminal.

Returning to the car park

After collecting your luggage, you walk back to the car park to collect your car. The exit barrier will lift automatically, but if there are any issues, you need to press the intercom button for assistance.
