How long is a quote valid for?
Your quote is valid for 30 days, if you make any amendments following your quote, this can alter the price.
When will I receive my policy documents?
We now have a secure customer portal where you will be able to view and download your documents. You will receive an email in the next 24 hours showing you how to register and access your portal.

FAQ's
When will I get my renewal notice?
You will receive your renewal notice 21 days before your policy expiry date. You can find out when your policy will expire via your Certificate of Motor Insurance. You can view your documents via your secure customer portal.
Will you automatically renew my insurance?
We will inform you if your policy will be automatically renewed within your renewal notice which you receive 21 days before the expiry date of your policy.
Why has my price gone up/not decreased when I have not claimed? Is this the best price you can offer?
We always offer you the lowest price available, there any many reasons for a price increase:
- Insurance Premium Tax
- Increase on the risk insured, e.g. area, vehicle, additional drivers, occupations

How much will it cost me to make a change on my policy?
All changes are subject to an admin fee, plus any insurance premium. Our admin fees can be found on https://www.holidayextras.co.uk/car-insurance/administration-fees.html.
When/how do I get my new documents?
Your policy documents will be available to be viewed and downloaded via your customer portal.

How long will it take to sort out my claim?
We are unable to give exact time scales as each claim is different but we try to resolve all claims as quickly as possible. We understand that making a claim can be a stressful time and can assure you Holiday Extras is committed to providing excellent service, as is Somerset Bridge Limited who handle our claims. We take all claims seriously and once submitted your claim will be reviewed by one of their experienced claims handlers who will always look to keep you informed of how your claim is progressing.
Am I entitled to a courtesy car in the event of a valid claim?
Yes. If the vehicle is repairable and our approved repairer is utilised, every effort will be made to supply you with a courtesy car, subject to the conditions of the policy.
Will a claim affect my No Claims Bonus?
If the incident is not your fault and we make a full recovery from the responsible person, your no claims discount will be unaffected. However, if we are unable to recover the cost, your no claims discount will be reduced at the renewal of your policy*.
If the incident is your fault, your no claims discount will be reduced*.
In the event of a theft claim your no claims discount will be reduced, as it is unlikely we will locate the persons who stole your vehicle and recover the costs*.
*No claims discount protection can be added if you have a minimum of 4 years no claims discount (NCD). This can be added before you buy the policy, and cannot then be added until the next renewal.
Who will repair my car?
We have a panel of Approved Repairers, one of which will repair your car. Our Approved Repairers provide excellent customer service and quality repairs for our customers.
The Approved Repairer will provide you with a free courtesy car for the duration of repairs, each repair is carried out in accordance with recognised industry standards, and guaranteed for 3 years.You can use a repairer of your choice but this will mean we can't guarantee the work and you will need an estimate for us to approve before work can commence. You also lose your right to a courtesy car.

Please provide your policy number or vehicle registration, the date and time you wish to cancel your policy, and your reason for cancellation. Please note the email MUST be sent from the one we hold on file in order to process your request.

Will I owe any money on my cancelled policy?
You can find within our Terms of Business our charges applied/retained at cancellation. You can also request a cancellation breakdown via [email protected]
Why do I have to pay a cancellation fee?
Our cancellation fees are outlined within our Terms of Business which you agreed to by purchasing your policy with us.

Our relationship with you
Our Terms of Business set out the basis of our relationship with you and provides useful information in respect of things like our commitments to you, our procedures, charges and your rights. If you bought a policy with us, you would have received a copy of Terms of Business shortly after taking the policy out. However, our latest version can be found on our website
How long will it take to resolve?
We aim to respond to all complaints as soon as possible but if we are unable to resolve your complaint within 3 business days, we will send you a written acknowledgment and keep you informed of our progress.
I'm not happy with the response to my complaint - what else can I do?
We won't always agree on how to put things right so if you don't agree with our decision, you may be eligible to refer your complaint to the Financial Ombudsman Service. More information on the Financial Ombudsman Service can be found on their website.
