Holiday Extras Logo Parking

Unlike most major airports, Heathrow hotels don't run their own shuttle buses. Instead, a shared service known as the Hotel Hoppa, often called the Heathrow Hoppa bus, operates frequent transfers between the terminals and local hotels. Running over 200 services a day from 04:00 AM to 23:00 PM, it connects more than 20+ nearby hotels with Terminals 2, 3, and 5, with plans to include Terminal 4 in the near future.

Take a look below to see all the Heathrow hotels served by the Hotel Hoppa, along with the latest timetables (from March 2025) to help you plan your journey.

Heathrow Hoppa Bus Alternatives

Did you know the Heathrow Hoppa bus isn't the only way to get to and from your hotel? We like to give our customers choice, which is why our Heathrow hotel and parking packages don't automatically include the Hotel Hoppa. This way, you can decide which transfer option best suits your needs and schedule.

Although the Hoppa is a handy option, it can take a little longer since the buses make several hotel stops before reaching the terminal, and most routes only run once per hour. Some travellers prefer alternatives like taxis, public buses or WeKnow e-shuttles, which tend to offer a faster, more flexible way to get to and from the airport.

Transfer Type Price* Travel Time
Public Bus £1.75 (single) Avg. 20 minutes
Taxi £15.00 (each way) Avg. 5-10 minutes
WeKnow Electric Shuttle (Private Ride) £25.00 (single) Avg. 5-10 minutes
WeKnow Electric Shuttle (Shared Ride) £7-9 (single) Avg. 10-20 minutes

Public Buses

If you're after a budget-friendly transfer, Heathrow's red public buses are a great option. They run frequently along Bath Road, where most of the airport hotels are based, and head straight to the Central Bus Station between Terminals 2 and 3. While they used to be free, a small fare now applies.

For detailed route information, check the Heathrow area bus map and use Google Maps to help plan your journey in advance.

WeKnow Shuttles

WeKnow is Heathrow's official, licensed transfer partner, providing reliable and direct electric shuttle services between the airport and nearby hotels. Operating 24 hours a day, seven days a week, WeKnow offers both shared and private rides. For airport pick-ups, drivers meet you inside the terminals to help with luggage, while hotel collections include real-time SMS and email updates to keep you informed.

To find out more or book your transfer, visit the WeKnow website.

Taxi

A taxi is the fastest and most straightforward way to reach your Heathrow terminal. Taxis serve all major airport hotels and offer a private, direct service to your chosen terminal. Most journeys take around 5–10 minutes, depending on traffic. Available 24/7, taxis are a convenient and stress-free option for travellers who prefer door-to-door comfort.
