This Purple Parking site, formerly Airparks, has provided a popular Gatwick airport parking choice since 1978. Offering secure and affordable parking with terminal transfers around the clock, Purple Parking Gatwick is a firm favourite with our customers.
Purple Parking Gatwick is easy to find, just follow our directions, use our map or put your postcode into our directions finder. Upon arrival, leave your car in one of the arrival bays, check in at reception and jump on one of the fast and frequent bus transfers to the airport.
While you're on your way to the airport one of Purple Parking's fully-insured, professional drivers will park your car in their secured parking location. Your car is insured all the while it is with them, and there are regular patrols around the car park 24 hours a day. Upon arrival back to Gatwick Airport, you will find your car ready and waiting in one of the departure bays as you step off the bus from the terminal.
If time is of the essence, you can make the most of Purple Parking's extra-special time saving services. A chauffeur can meet you at the airport terminal and drive your car to their secure parking location, leaving you free to head straight to check-in. While you're away you can choose to have your car valeted, inside and out, and upon your arrival they can meet you back at the terminal ready for you to drive away. You can add any of these options as you make your way through your booking.

A simple, highly rated and secured car park. It's close to both terminals so just drop off your car and keys at reception and catch the 10-minute shuttle bus – easy as that!
Need to know
Drive to the Purple Parking car park, park in an arrivals lane and head to reception. Hand over your keys and the team will park for you while you catch the shuttle bus to your terminal. It runs every 20 minutes and takes 10 minutes to both terminals.

Accessibility
The car park and shuttle buses are accessible to wheelchairs and pushchairs. Accessible parking bays aren't needed as the team will park your car for you.

The small print
Larger or commercial vehicle? The car park has changed its terms and conditions meaning that some larger vehicles are no longer accepted. If your vehicle is one they won't accept you'll be charged an additional £25 per day when you arrive. Please read below for full details and check whether the car park will accept your vehicle before you book.
Purple Parking Park and Ride cannot accept:
- Commercial vehicles or minibuses of any variant.
- Single or double cab pickup trucks such as Ford Ranger, Toyota Hilux or Nissan Navara.
- Medium-panelled or windowed vans such as a VW Transporter, VW Caravelle, VW Caddy, Ford Transit, Mercedes Vito, Mercedes Viano or short wheel-based vehicles of any description.
- Large panelled or windowed vans such as a Mercedes Sprinter, VW Crafter, Renault Master, Ford Transit or long wheel-based vehicles of any description.
- Any variant of camper van.
- Any vehicles over 2.1m high.
- You'll be charged an additional £25 per day if your vehicle fails to comply with the above.
The parking team will move your car to a self-park area and charge an additional £20 per day in any of the following cases:
- Not providing a key to your vehicle.
- Not deactivating ghost alarms (or not providing clear instructions to the team at check-in).
- Not removing steering wheel locks.
If you have an electric car, make sure it has enough battery charge to be moved through the car parks and last the duration of the stay otherwise the car park may charge you a fee. The car park does not offer electric charging.
We recommend that you leave 45 minutes to drop your car and keys off and get the shuttle to the airport.

Early or late? The car park offers a grace period until midnight at their discretion. Any longer than this and you'll be charged the car park's standard rate of £20, which is subject to change.
