There are 3 main Drop Off areas at Heathrow Airport, each with slightly different procedures depending on your chosen option. Here's what you need to know:
Heathrow Airport Terminal Drop Off
📍 Situated directly outside the terminals, this location allows your passengers to quickly grab their luggage and enter the terminal.
💷 £5.00 is charged for each entry into the terminal drop-off area. Payments can only be made by card (cash and cheque payments aren't accepted). You can make your payment online or via phone at 03300085600 (automated payment line). Payments can't be made at the airport ticket machines or in the terminal drop-off zones since vehicles must not be left unattended. Failure to pay will result in a parking charge of £80.00 (reduced to £40.00 if paid within 14 days).
♿ Blue Badge holders can apply for a concession allowing FREE access to the Terminal Drop Off zones.
Heathrow Short Stay Car Parks
📍 Ideal if you want to drop off your passengers within walking distance and have more time to say your goodbyes. It takes just 2 minutes to walk to the terminals.
💷 Prices start from £6.00 for a 30-minute stay. To make your payment, use one of the on-foot machines when exiting the car park.
♿ Blue Badge parking is available close to terminal access routes and Help Points are located near these spaces.
Heathrow Long Stay Car Parks
📍 Perfect for money-savvy customers who don't mind being a little further away from the terminal building. Passengers can reach the terminals in 5 minutes on the shuttle bus.
💷 You can park for FREE for up to 30 minutes in the Long Stay car parks. The transfers to the terminals run every 10-15 minutes, take just 5 minutes and are free.
♿ Blue Badge parking is available close to the shuttle bus pick up points or admin offices.

Yes, Heathrow drop off parking is FREE for 30 minutes at the Long Stay car parks. Passengers can catch the free shuttle bus to the terminals - they run every 10-15 minutes and take as little as 5 minutes.
How long do I get to pay Heathrow drop off charge?
If you use the Terminal Drop Off zones, the charge must be paid by midnight on the day after your visit. Non-payment will result in an £80.00 Parking Charge Notice (PCN), reduced to £40.00 if paid within 14 days.
How long can you wait at Heathrow Drop Off?
Unlike some airports, there isn't a time limit in place at the Heathrow Terminal Drop Off zone. Please keep in mind, however, that you cannot leave your car unattended and must pay the charge every time you re-enter the Drop Off areas.
