It's almost always cheaper to book your parking in advance rather than pay on the gate the day you fly.
In fact, it's so much cheaper to book in advance that last year most of our customers saved more than £100 on their parking by booking in advance with us rather than paying on the day.
The average saving in 2022 was £150. That means, with holidaymakers telling us they'll average two overseas trips this year, just pre-booking parking for those trips rather than paying on the gate saves enough to buy a return flight to New York or a theatre break in London.
But 7% of people tell us they still pay for their parking on the day. That's £150 they could have put towards their holiday - so if you're still buying your airport parking on the day, we strongly recommend booking in advance instead to take advantage of the savings.
