👑The Tower of London is home to a group of ravens, who according to lore are the guardians of the castle. The ravens are looked after by the Ravenmaster and there are always 6 ravens whose wings are clipped so they can't fly too far from home.
👑The Tower of London was originally used as a prison between 1100 and 1952, where many people were executed.
👑During the 1200s, the Tower of London was home to Londons first zoo with exotic animals such as polar bears and kangaroos. The zoo was shut down in 1835 and all the animals were moved to the London Zoo at Regent's Park.
👑It's a haunted house! There have been reports of several ghost sightings at the tower including Henry VI, Catherine Howard and a grizzly bear.
👑The Tower of London was built by hand in the 11th century, using Kentish ragstones.
