    Inverness airport is the main gateway for travellers to the north of Scotland. It has flights to 14 destinations in the British Isles, including Jersey, Dublin and the Orkney and Shetland Islands. Flights to Dusseldorf began this summer.

    Inverness airport is about eight miles northeast of the city, just off the A96, the main road between Inverness and Aberdeen.

    Inverness airport by rail and coach

    The closest train stations to the airport are Inverness and Nairn. Both are about nine miles away. Visit www.nationalrail.co.uk for train times.
    The number 11 bus runs every 30 minutes between the airport and Inverness city centre and stops close to the train station. The number 29X bus runs hourly to Nairn. Visit www.stagecoachbus.com for bus times.
