The Sandman Signature at Gatwick offers a warm welcome as soon as you enter the lobby, with the lively on-site restaurant and bar on either side. Get your holiday off to a cracking start with a memorable dinner, a glass or two of fine wine or draft beer and then a filling breakfast in the morning to see you through the journey ahead. Room service is also available 24 hours a day.

Used the Cambridge Hotel at Gatwick twice for overnight pre-flight plus parking. Will do so again. Pleasant rooms, efficient and welcoming service, decent food at a reasonable price. All round good value.

Holiday Inn
Having to rebook our reservation was so quick and simple. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Gatwick. Staff very welcoming and efficient even upgraded our room. All was as described on the web site. Will always book this way.

Breakfast
The breakfast buffet at the Sandman Signature is extensive, with something to suit all tastes. The yoghurt and fresh fruit bar has both natural and fruit-flavoured yoghurts, a selection of Kellogg’s cereals and fresh fruit, including watermelon and pineapple. The bakery area has croissants, pastries and both white and brown toast, while all the elements of a traditional English breakfast are laid out in the hot section, including back bacon, sausages, field mushrooms and baked beans. Order eggs cooked any way you like or try the breakfast special – it was freshly made, warm pancakes with honey and lemon when we visited.
Dinner
The Sandman Signature is worth a visit for its dinner menu alone. Far above the standards most people expect from hotel dining, the restaurant serves up an enticing menu of fresh salads and pastas, hearty mains and delicious desserts. Favourite dishes include scallops, griddled sirloin steak with thick-cut chips and beer-battered haddock with jalapeno mushy peas. There’s a decent wine list too and the desserts are not to be missed – we especially like the sticky toffee pudding.
The same menu is served at both lunch and dinner, as well as in the bar until 10.30pm.
