Tesco Travel Money

Tesco travel money is available to order online and in store at Tesco's travel bureaux. You can order up to £2500 in currencies used across every continent. Android customers can also order their currency from the mobile banking app. Euros and US dollars can be available the next day from your local travel money bureau if you order before 2pm, with other currencies available for delivery or pick up within five working days.

You can also have your currency delivered securely to your house via Royal Mail Special Delivery. If you're collecting or purchasing in store, you'll need to make sure you have an approved form of ID on you, such as your passport or photocard driving licence.

Can you exchange currency at Tesco?

More than 300 larger Tesco stores across the UK have travel money counters where you can buy your foreign currency in store. If you want to find the closest store to you that offers travel money services, Tesco's store locator has a 'travel money' filter that will show you stores with a currency bureau.

Do Tesco offer travel money cards?

If you're not keen on carrying cash, Tesco offer a travel card called the 'Multi-currency Cash Passport'. It's a prepaid travel money card that can be loaded with up to seven currencies at a time, including euros, US dollars and Australian dollars. Use it to make purchases or withdraw cash while you're away securely and get a replacement card up to the value of your lost funds if the worst happens.

You'll also lock in your exchange rate every time you load, reload or change between currencies, so you know exactly how much you've got to spend without worrying about changes in rates. As it's a Mastercard, it can be used at any retailer that accepts the form of payment or you can withdraw cash for a small fee.

Does Tesco credit card charge for buying money?

Tesco doesn't charge a fee if you purchase money at one of its travel bureaux or online, although it's up to your credit card provider if they choose to charge a fee for the purchase of travel money. However, if you have a Tesco credit card and buy Tesco travel money, you won't be charged a fee.

Do you get Tesco points for travel money?

Unfortunately, you won't get any Clubcard points for purchasing your travel money at Tesco, as it's classed as money rather than goods.
