Renewing is usually quick and simple. We’ll get in touch around a month before your cover ends with everything you need to know.
How Renewal Works
When you buy an Annual Multi-Trip policy, you’re automatically opted in to auto-renewal. You can opt out at any time after purchase.
If you're still opted in to auto-renewal, we’ll automatically prepare your renewal before your policy ends.
- Your policy will renew automatically each year unless you opt out
- Payment will be taken a few days before your renewal date
- Your renewal price may be different from last year
- We’ll contact you before renewal with your new quote
- You can opt out of auto-renewal at any time via your Renewal Hub or by contacting us
- We recommend reviewing your cover each year to make sure it still meets your needs

If you're still opted in to auto-renewal
If you're happy with your renewal quote, you don’t need to do anything — your cover will continue without interruption, subject to successful payment.
If you’d prefer to pay early, you can do this in your Renewal Hub.
If you need to make changes, our Help Squad can update your policy before renewal to make sure everything is correct.
If you’ve opted out of auto-renewal
You can still renew your policy quickly and easily via your Renewal Hub or by calling our Help Squad.

Payments
You sent me an email to say my automatic renewal payment didn't go through.
Sometimes payments don't go through the first time.
If we've contacted you to let you know it didn't go through, click the link in your message to access your Renewal Hub and make a payment online. You can also give us a call and we'll take payment over the phone.
I'm experiencing issues with my online renewal payment.

Timing & Communication
When will I hear from you about my renewal?
We'll contact you around 28 days before your current policy expires. Keep an eye on your inbox and check your spam folder just in case.
I have unsubscribed from your mailing list. Will you still contact me?
If you've unsubscribed, we won't send you marketing emails.
However, we’ll still contact you with important information about your policy, including your renewal. We're legally required to tell you when your policy is due to expire and to send your renewal quote. This is to make sure you have all the information you need about your policy with us.
If we can't renew your policy automatically, we'll also contact you when it expires so you know you're no longer covered.
Auto Renewal
What happens if I do nothing?
If your policy is set to renew automatically and your details haven’t changed, your cover will continue without interruption, subject to successful payment.
If we’re unable to collect payment, your policy won’t renew. Make sure your payment details are up to date to avoid a gap in cover.
Can I cancel my renewal?
Yes. If you don’t want to renew, you’ll need to opt out of auto-renewal at least 5 days before your renewal date.

If your policy has already been renewed, you can still cancel within 14 days of receiving your documents for a full refund, as long as you haven’t travelled or made a claim.
Pricing & Discounts
How is my loyalty discount worked out?
When we generate your renewal quote, we apply your loyalty discount to the price. The discounted amount is already included in the renewal price you see.
Your renewal price is based on your existing level of cover. The loyalty discount applies to everything except the cost of covering any declared medical conditions.
Why has my price changed?
Your renewal price is based on several factors, including changes to your personal details, medical information, and the cost of providing cover.
If you’ve been with us for a number of years, you may be able to find alternative insurance cover that better suits your needs or price expectations by shopping around.
Do I still get a discount if I need to amend my policy?
Yes, your loyalty discount still applies.
If you select 'Get a new quote' in your Renewal Hub, we'll include your loyalty discount in the updated price. If you amend over the phone, we'll apply the same discount.
Can't Get Cover?
I did a new search and I can't be covered, what shall I do?
If we can't offer a quote that suits your needs, we recommend using the MoneyHelper insurance directory to find alternative providers.
Visit the MoneyHelper website or call 0800 138 7777. Lines are open Monday to Friday, 8am to 6pm.
You can use the directory if you've been refused cover, had a condition excluded or received a high additional premium in connection to your medical conditions.
