Barcelona flights from clickair

Spanish carrier clickair has launched its first service from Scotland, offering flights from Edinburgh to Barcelona.

The daily service departs from the Catalan city at 08:10 local time, arriving in Edinburgh at 09:45.

Return flights take off from the Scottish hub at 10:30 and land in Spain at 13:55 local time.

Tickets are available from the airline's website and cost as little as €20 (£13) including all taxes and charges.

"We are delighted to add Scotland to our list of destinations," commented the airline's chief executive, Alex Cruz. "Edinburgh is a great complement to our existing UK services.

"Barcelona and Edinburgh have strong links and we are proud to offer all travellers - business people, tourists and students alike - a product they can tailor to their needs."

David Johnston, managing director of Edinburgh Airport, added: "This new daily service to Barcelona gives our passengers even greater choice and flexibility.

"We are delighted to welcome clickair to Edinburgh and look forward to working together to ensure the success of this route, which we are certain will prove very popular."

clickair already offers flights from London's airports to A Coruna, Servile and Valencia.
