Travel disruption caused by Storm Debi

Weather warnings are in force this morning across Northern Ireland, the Midlands, the north of England and parts of Scotland. Amber warnings of wind, which make it more likely travel will be disrupted, are in force for Northern Ireland, Yorkshire and the north west.

A red warning of wind is in force for much of the Republic of Ireland, including Dublin Airport, but as of lunchtime Monday the airport was reporting a normal service with only three flights diverted due to the storm.

At time of writing, some cancellations especialy to domestic flights have been seen at Heathrow and to a lesser extent Dublin; trains have been disrupted by floods in Scotland, by winds in Yorkshire and by a fallen tree on the Stansted Express line; and ferries, especially to and from Ireland, are experiencing cancellations and delays.

We hope as always that your trip is safe and hassle-free, but we acknowledge the challenges that these conditions may bring and encourage customers who are due to travel and worried about potential disruption to contact their airline or tour operator to double check the situation. We've added some useful links at the bottom of the page.
