Cardiff Airport passenger target

Cardiff airport is now one of the UK's fastest-growing airports, having passed it's two million passenger target for 2006.

The airport recorded a 13% increase in passenger numbers for 2006, compared with growth of 11% at Bristol International and 2.1% at Edinburgh. Growth at Cardiff airport is expected to continue over the next year, with new routes to Barcelona, Nantes and Kos announced for 2007 together with greater frequencies to popular destinations.

Managing Director Jon Horne said:

"So many unpredictable factors emerged in 2006 that could have made our projections look over-ambitious. Yet the backing of the Welsh public, excellent products and pricing from airlines and just a touch of last-minute 'swings and roundabouts' meant we passed the magic two million mark."

If you are one of the many travellers flying from Cardiff airport, airport parking at Airparks Cardiff is a great idea and just three minutes from the airport. A cheap and easy option with good customer loyalty, the high standard of service at Airparks Cardiff makes it no surprise that customers book their airport parking there again and again.
