Check-in windsurfing equipment at Birmingham
By Jonathan Clarke
When travelling with windsurfing equipment on your holiday, there's no option but to check it into the hold before you fly.
Your windsurfing gear is just too big to take on the plane as hand luggage. As such, you'll need to check it into the hold when you arrive at Birmingham airport.
"You won't be able to use the online check-in as that's reserved for passengers with hand luggage only."
As you'll be needing to check luggage into the hold, you won't be able to use the online check-in as that's reserved for passengers with hand luggage only.
Instead you will need to hand over your windsurfing gear at the check-in desks when you arrive. Make sure that the fins are packed into the board bag as you will be prevented from taking them in your hand luggage.
