Wizz Air to launch from Warsaw to Sheffield

Polish airline Wizz Air has confirmed a new service to link Warsaw to Sheffield.

Wizz Air has announced that it is to launch new flights from Warsaw to Doncaster Sheffield airport next year.

The new services will commence on April 1st and initially be operated three times a week.

Warsaw will be Wizz Air's fifth Polish route from Doncaster Sheffield, alongside Katowice, Gdansk, Poznan and Wroclaw.

Flights to Katowice and Gdansk are currently available, while services to Poznan and Wroclaw will be launched in January and February 2008 respectively.

Wizz Air is a relatively young airline, having launched in June 2003 and operated its first flight on May 19th 2004 from Katowice.

The carrier now operates six bases across the eastern European region, including hubs in the capital cities of Budapest, Sofia and Bucharest.
