Singapore offers service for young travellers

Singapore Airlines is to introduce a new range of options to keep children entertained on flights.

Singapore Airlines has announced a new suite of amenities and entertainment offerings to keep younger travellers entertained during flights.

One element of the initiative is a partnership between the carrier and Cartoon Network, which will see toys from the broadcasting company available for the first time with any airline.

A range of new toys designed exclusively for Singapore Airlines will be available among the new children's options, as well as Cartoon Network shows, lunchboxes, kid-size headphones and 'sockettes'.

The first series of in-flight giveaways will include crayon packs themed around the PowerPuff Girls and Ben-10 programmes, as well as art books, phone pouches and keychain wallets.

Yap Kim Wah, Singapore Airlines' vice-president of products and services, said: "We are delighted to roll out this suite of amenities and services shortly after the A380.

"This shows how important young travellers are to Singapore Airlines."

Cartoon Network was considered to be the ideal partner for the airline initiative following surveys and feedback from younger customers.
