Pakistan connection from Lufthansa

Lufthansa plans to introduce new services which will enable passengers from the UK to connect to flights to Pakistan.

From October 28th, the airline will offer direct flights from Frankfurt to both Karachi and Lahore. These will operate three times a week and are scheduled so UK passengers can make these connections easily.

"Lufthansa's UK and Ireland passengers will benefit enormously from the new flights," explained Marianne Sammann, Lufthansa's general manager for the UK and Ireland.

"This new non-stop connection from Frankfurt to Pakistan shortens the air journey there by up to four hours compared with stopovers in the Gulf region."

Return flights from the UK to Pakistan with Lufthansa start from £429 (including all taxes and charges).

While Pakistan is not the most popular of holiday destination, its reputation is growing and some adventurous travellers are beginning to realise the country offers a unique visitor experience.

The Lonely Planet has this to say about the country: "It contains some of Asia's most mind-blowing landscapes, extraordinary trekking, a multitude of cultures and a long tradition of hospitality."
