More routes from easyJet

Low-cost carrier easyJet has announced seven new routes for the autumn, including flights to popular destinations like Krakow and Lisbon.

On October 29th four new routes from UK airports will begin. From Stansted there will be a new daily service to Funchal. Flights from Bristol International Airport to this destination will also start.

In addition easyJet plans to fly from Gatwick to Lisbon on a daily basis and from Edinburgh to Krakow four times a week.

Later in October, services from Bristol to Lisbon and Bournemouth to Krakow are due to take off.

A statement from the airline read: "This expansion reflects the airline's commitment to growth across the UK, to continue to connect its bases with a variety of attractive destinations and provide convenient, flexible, low fares to major destination airports, from a your local airport."

Funchal - a city named after the fennel which grows abundantly nearby - is situated in the rocky mountains of Madeira. The city has a number of historic monuments, squares and art galleries, as well as modern shops, quaint markets and botanical gardens.

The extra flights mean that easyJet now operates 307 routes to 80 airports in 22 countries.
