easyJet offers Austrian connection
Low-cost carrier easyJet has said that it will offer flights from the UK to Austria in the future.
A new service between London Luton and Vienna is due to commence on October 29th and will be the first time easyJet has offered flights to Austria.
Flights from the UK to Austria will be available for as little as £22.99 one way.
The airline said that expects the service to Austria to be popular with people looking for city breaks, as well as winter sports enthusiasts planning their next ski trip.
A statement from the company read: "The grand, romantic Austrian capital is located on the banks of the Danube. A stunning monument to the Habsburg Dynasty, Vienna is a city of immense cultural and historical heritage with its UNESCO World Heritage Site centre.
"In this opulent and indulgent metropolis there is a variety of world-class museums to explore, grand palaces such as the Schonbrunn or the Imperial Palace, wide boulevards to wander along and enjoy the magnificent architecture."
The airline also announced that tickets for its winter schedule were now on sale from selected airports.
Tickets for travel from bases such as Bristol, Edinburgh, Gatwick, Glasgow, Newcastle and Stansted will go on sale in the coming weeks.
