Christmas trains to Gatwick disrupted

Major engineering work will take place on the railway line between Redhill and Gatwick Airport this Christmas. The line will be closed from the start of service on Wednesday 27 December until approximately 0400 on Friday 29 December. This will affect the service from London to Gatwick airport, but bus replacement services will run from London Victoria.

The date of this closure has been selected to minimise disruption, so that work can be carried out on Christmas Day and Boxing Day when no services would have run anyway.

Network Rail will be carrying out renewal and replacement projects, including the complete renewal of the railway junction at Earlswood.

All stations that are affected during this period will run rail replacement services. For more information, go to National Rail Enquiries.
