Ryanair carries record number of passengers
Figures released by Ryanair show that Europe's largest airline enjoyed a 13% growth in traffic throughout June.
The growth represents a new monthly record and equates to 5.8 million passengers in June alone. In addition, the airline also revealed that since the end of June 2008, Ryanair has transported a record 60 million passengers.
Ryanair's Stephen McNamara was delighted with the figures: "Ryanair's growth of 13% to 5.8 million passengers for June and 60 million passengers for the 12 month period, establish new records for Europe's largest airline. Ryanair is now on course to carry 67 million passengers in our full year."
