New Gatwick to Biarritz flights

[4th July 2008]

Low cost airline easyJet has launched new flights from Gatwick airport to Biarritz in south-west France today.

The four-times weekly service will see flights from Gatwick on Sundays, Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays. The budget airline expects to carry 10,000 passengers on the new route in the first year, with seats priced from £43.60 including taxes.

“Biarritz is already a popular destination from other easyJet bases and now travellers from Gatwick have the opportunity to explore one of the most popular destinations on the west coast of France. Forward bookings for the route have been strong, which further proves the demand for affordable flights to the sun this summer," says easyJet’s UK country manager, David Osborne.

Known as the ‘Monte Carlo of the Atlantic’, Biarritz is famous for its glorious sandy beach, fantastic surfing, and beautiful 18th century architecture. It is suitable for a weekend break and is a good base for exploring the Basque country and north-west Spain.

easyJet has also started its ‘summer just got bigger sale’ today. The sale offers up to 20% off every seat on every easyJet flight between 1st September and 22nd October. Seats go on sale today until 8th July.

Also going on sale is accommodation at 10,000 easyJet Hotels, with discounts of up to 35% on hotels throughout Europe ranging from budget to 5 star luxury hotels.

To complete the package you can also enjoy savings of up to 25% on easyJet car hire at all the destinations offered by easyJet.
