easyJet scoops double award
easyJet, the UK's largest airline, has enjoyed a successful September after being voted Best Low Fares Airline by two national publications.
Business Traveller Magazine this week named easyJet as Best Low Cost Airline for the ninth consecutive year, rating the airline above such competition as Air Berlin, Flybe and bmibaby. This award followed recognition as Favourite Budget Airline from the Sunday Times Travel Magazine.
Paul Simmons, the UK's regional general manager, commented: "We are delighted that easyJet has won the Business Traveller Magazine's Best Low Cost Airline Award 2009 for the ninth year in a row, as well as the Sunday Times Travel Magazine award for the Favourite Budget Airline.
"It's especially pleasing for us because the awards are based on reader votes. The Business Traveller Magazine's awards are the 'Oscars' of the UK business arena, and demonstrate what a powerful product and brand easyJet represents to the UK business travel community."
easyJet is one of Europe's leading low fares airline, transporting in excess of 44 million passengers over the past 12 months.
