Swiss jazz festival begins
One of the most famous jazz festivals in the world is has just begun, and this year's line up is already getting fans excited.
The Montreux Jazz Festival is held on the banks of Lake Geneva and is due to take place until the end of July.
In previous years, stars such as Nina Simone, Ella Fitzgerald, Stan Getz, Charlie Mingus and Dexter Gordon have all performed.
This year, the estimated 200,000 fans who will attend the event can experience music from the likes of Sly & the Family Stone, Seal, Jimmy Cliff, Youssou N'Dour, Spank Rock, Norah Jones and Van Morrison.
Furthermore, the Montreux Jazz Café hosts a series of late night events, complete with DJs, bands and other entertainment.
However, fans planning on attending the event should note that the festival uses its own currency, the Jazz, which can be bought at vendors around the site.
