Simple pricing from Flybe

Flybe has followed the lead of other low-cost carriers and moved to introduce a more transparent price scheme for its customers.

In the future, customers looking to book a flight on Flybe's website will be able to see the total cost of their ticket clearly displayed, with any optional extras explained alongside the cheapest price.

All advertised Flybe prices will now, as standard, include government taxes including Air Passenger Duty and any passenger service and airport security charges.

"Flybe is always mindful of the need to provide quality customer service and this move highlights our commitment towards ensuring that the customer is in full control of their booking, by knowing exactly what they are paying for from the start," explained Mike Rutter, the airline's chief commercial officer.

"With our transparent pricing policy, what you see is what you get."

Earlier this month, easyJet said that it would introduce a clearer price structure on all its tickets.

Flybe offers services from the UK to a number of popular summer destinations, including Alicante, Malaga and Faro.
