Beat the Traffic

Britain is preparing for the busiest days of the Christmas holidays as hundreds of thousands of passengers travel abroad. From 21st - 28th of December around three million sun seekers or snow holiday makers will pass through BAA airports.

If you have an early morning flight get a head start and book an airport hotel - cut out the worry and frustration and set out well in advance of your flight. Christmas won't wait so don't miss your flight - Holiday Extras still offer airport hotels ranging from three star comfort to four star luxury. Most airport hotels can offer an extremely good airport hotel and parking packages.

From now on until just after Christmas roads are expected to be very busy with people travelling home to family get togethers and with holiday traffic on their way to catch a flight. The M1, M3, M4 and M25 expected to be much busier than normal.

Airport operator BAA is expecting in excess of three million passengers be jetting off from its seven airports in the week before 28th December. New York is generally the favourite long-haul destination at Christmas time.

Romantic Paris is British Airways' most popular European destination, with Geneva and Madrid also very busy routes.
