Birmingham airport's second terminal is well equipped to fit the needs of the modern day traveller. The ground floor features the extensive arrivals area with check-in desks, currency exchanges and information desks. The first floor has many shops and places to find food, perfect for the wait before you pass through security.

Ground floor: On the ground floor there are check-in desks, the special assistance desk, the airport information desk and a Business Point along with WH Smith, Costa Coffee and Subway.

First floor: The first floor is the extensive Terminal 2 departure lounge. For passengers only, the area has a large range of shopping and dining facilities. Inside you will find Boots, Alpha duty free, JD Wetherspoon, WH Smith, Costa Coffee, Soho Coffee, Currency Express and Austin Reed along with toilets, lounges and other facilities.

Shopping

The bulk of the shopping area is in the large departure lounge on the first floor. Accessible to passengers who have checked into security the area has duty free shopping along with Austin Reed clothing and WH Smith. On the first floor there is another WH Smith.

Food and drink

The lower level has a large Costa Coffee which is ideal for a relaxing hot drink and a snack. There is also a Subway if you need anything more substantial. Upstairs in the departure area there is a JD Wetherspoon pub along with another Costa Coffee and a Soho Coffee. There are WH Smith outlets on both levels, selling ideal snacks for the plane journey.

Internet

There are Internet-enabled computers on both floors.

Toilets

Toilets on the ground floor are located behind the escalators. Toilets on the first floor are next to Costa Coffee.

Information desk

The airport information desk is in the arrivals area on the ground floor.

Chapel

The prayer room is located in the second terminal.
