Continental expands eTicket facility

October, 2007

US carrier Continental Airlines has announced the implementation of eTicket capabilities with its interline partner DragonAir.

Interline eTickets give customers the option to fly and check baggage on flights with Continental and other carriers on a single, paperless itinerary.

This is Continental's 100th eTicket partnership and another step forward in the operator's goal to implement eTicket capability on all its interline agreements by the end of the year.

Senior vice-president Mark Erwin said: "While completing our 100th eTicket partnership is an important milestone, Continental is more focused on completing eTicket development with all of our interline partners.

"With just over a dozen carriers remaining, Continental is committed to refining the customer's experience with truly convenient, paperless travel on all itineraries."

Currently over 99 per cent of customers across the US carrier's system travel using eTickets.
