Manchester Airport To The Big Apple

New transatlantic flight from Manchester airport to New York announced this week by Delta airlines.

Business Travel made easier with Delta Airlines

From the 16th May 2006 business travel to and from Manchester and New York with Delta airlines becomes more frequent. There are currently three daily flights from Manchester airport to JFK airport New York.

When the new flight commences in May, flights to and from the Big Apple will operate four times a day from Manchester. Business traffic is bound to increase - the new Delta flights also meet the demand for a higher frequency of flights - particularly from New Yorkers.

Gayle Friel, marketing manager for Manchester Gateway said in a statement, "this further highlights Manchester's popularity with US visitors. The launch of yet another direct service from New York to the city and the region, strengthens its position as a leading leisure and business destination."

The new flights will not only ease business traffic, but encourage American tourists to the North of England and boost the local economy. Manchester is already well on its way to being the second most popular tourist city in the UK.

Delta announce the new flight to New York at a time when the company is planning on increasing their flight frequency - adding another 11 flights to their schedule, from Budapest, Venice and Edinburgh. Now all it depends on is whether you can justify a business trip to Venice?
