TUI extends Mexico flight suspension
[May 6 2009]
Thomson and First Choice have extended their period of Mexico cancellations up to May 12 2009, in line with Foreign and Commonwealth Office (FCO) advice.
All Thomson and First Choice outbound flights operating to Cancun and Cozumel will be cancelled up to and including May 12.
The FCO is still advising against non-essential travel to Mexico following the swine flu outbreak. Passengers who wish to return home can take advantage of spare capacity on existing flights to the UK with both companies.
Travellers who were due to fly before May 12 will have the option to make a free amendment to their holiday or cancel their holiday and receive a full refund without incurring any cancellation charge.
Those passengers due to travel between May 13 to May 22 inclusive are able to make a free amendment to their holiday and select a different destination or alternative date up to the same value already booked.
Check the FCO website for up to date travel advice for Mexico.
If you have booked travel add-ons with Holiday Extras for a flight to Mexico, standard terms and conditions now apply.
Any cancellation charges should be claimed back on your travel insurance policy if necessary.
