Bucharest to offer winter gifts
The Romanian city of Bucharest will be offering its visitors the chance to purchase an authentic piece of local culture at a winter gifts festival in December.
All through the winter month the Romanian Peasant Museum will host the showcase of locally made items.
Up to 150 local artisans and crafters will be selling their wares during the month-long festival.
From hand-made jewellery and decorative rugs to traditional items fashioned from wood and clay, there will be a plethora of interesting objects to catch browsers' eyes.
Romania has a rich cultural heritage and traditions dating as far back as 1875 are celebrated at the Peasant Museum.
The museum is just one of the landmarks the city has to offer, with others including the grand Palace of the Parliament and the Memorial of Rebirth, which commemorates the victims of the Romanian Revolution of 1989.
