Scottish ski link from Jet2

Low-cost airline Jet2 has said that it will offer ski service from its base at Edinburgh Airport.

From December 15th, passenger will be able to fly from Scotland to Chambery, in the French Alps, for the first time with Jet2.

Tickets are expected to sell for just £28.99 one-way including taxes, meaning that Scottish winter sports enthusiast can get easy access to French ski resorts this winter.

To cope with high levels of demand, the airline said that it would offer additional flights over the Christmas and New Year periods.

Jet2 boss Philip Meeson commented: "Our presence in Scotland is growing at a very rapid pace.

"We already offer services to hotspots like Avignon, Murcia and Pisa so I'm delighted to now give fun-seekers from the region the option to experience some winter sports in Chambery.

"Our ski website Jet2.com/ski has proved hugely popular with boarders and skiers alike and this latest destination means there's even more choice for winter sport enthusiasts."
