HolidayExtras.com is best for Customer Service and Commitment

5 July, 2010

Holiday Extras walked away triumphant from the Kent Excellence in Business Awards (KEiBA) last Thursday night, being named best for Customer Service and Commitment.

Winners were announced at a gala dinner and awards presentation on Thursday 1 July at The Historic Dockyard, Chatham in Kent.

Marian Walters, customer relations manager, said: "This is a brilliant achievement for everyone at Holiday Extras, especially with huge customer service challenges such as the volcanic ash cloud earlier this year. We really do try to keep every one of our customers happy, and to beat the best in Kent is a real morale boost and recognition for the team."

Staged and produced jointly by Kent County Council and the Kent Messenger Group to recognise and reward excellence in Kent's businesses, the KEiBAs entail a rigorous judging process.

Kevin Lynes, Kent County Council Cabinet Member for Regeneration and Economic Development, said: “It is great to see such as impressive response and I am really pleased to see entries from so many different types of business as well."

Chairman of KM Group, Geraldine Allinson, said: "KEiBA is a fantastic opportunity to reward businesses for their exceptional performances. It shows clearly that Kent is a great county to establish and grow a business in."

Holiday Extras, based in Hythe, Kent and the UK market leader for travel add-ons, has also been named as a Sunday Times 100 Best Companies to Work For, 2010. The company was a top three finalist in three categories in KEiBA 2009, winning Employer of the Year.
